Who is Ray White?

Raymond D. White is a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion. As an experienced strategist, he helps non-profit executives weave diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into the fabric of their organizations. With a firm grasp of the importance of inclusive environments, Raymond guides organizations toward fostering an atmosphere where employees feel valued and clients are drawn to their commitment to these essential values.

Over the past 8 years, Ray White has been committed to addressing anti-racism by advising mid to senior-level leaders on fostering workplace belonging and consulting non-profit organizations on integrating equity and anti-racist values. This commitment is evident through leveraging his platform to advocate for action among organizational leaders and developing strategic plans with local nonprofits in Salem, Oregon, to enhance equity and inclusion within their organizations.

  • Salem Free Clinics - Ray conducted demographic and quantitative organizational cultural assessment that has been used to address organizational changes to better serve the healthcare needs of their uninsured population.

  • Church At The Park - This non-profit organization that serves the unhoused community experiences tremendous growth with an operating budget from $250,000 to $8 Million in 3 years. Ray designed a leadership and governance structure to support its expansion, meet operational needs, and produce effective results. In addition, Ray has developed and equipped leaders within operations to carry out EDI within their work. The development of leaders within Church at the Park has created a council of engaged staff who are speaking into the education, relationships, policies and frameworks of the institution with an equity lens.

  • OHSU: Richmond Clinic - Ray engaged leaders, frontline staff, and organizational documentation to map a strategy for how operational leadership can increase and embed cultural humility within their work.

  • Withnell Family YMCA of Marion and Polk Counties - Ray has crafted policy changes and processes with executive leaders to fulfill the mission for making “The Y for All.”
